My new lil baby

Hehehe....you must be thinking what the hell is this girl talking about?!?!

Well, I am here to introduce my new baby

Top and rear view of mua babe :

Hehehehe.....am gonna have some fun time!!

Twilight Disappointment!!

Sigh....What a disappointment after all those raving about how good the Twilight movie is. All I can say is that it definitely SUCKS!!!!

Initially, after reading all the books from the Twilight Saga (which includes Twilight; New Moon; Eclipse and Breaking Dawn) I have decided not to watch the movie. This is to minimize the disappointment that I would have. The books were GREAT!!! Beautifully; clearly written to capture a readers mind and allow them to imagine in perfect replication.

The movie was a disaster to me. Not that I am oppose of the actors in the movie....well, initially I actually was kinda oppose about the actors. I don't mind Bella, but Edward....not as handsome and irresistible as depicted in words of the book...but yea, coming back to reality...no one can be THAT perfect! I am expecting another Alice figure...the story wrote that she's a very active lil' girl like attitude, short and petite....whereas in the movie, I can't find that character. Well...I am now not that against the character.

However, it's the story line that I am sad about. There are changes everywhere. Somethings are not meant to happen as shown in the movies....URGH......I LOVE/ ADORE the books....but there are too many negative things that I can talk about >.<

Well, lets hope that the next movie New Moon will be better.

Ahhh.....now I feel much better. Hehehehe...I was just trying to voice out my opinions...am not asking ppl to critic my writings. Twilight movie fans.....above are just my personal opinion.

Frenzy.....

Finally, after abandoning this place for such a long time *probably a month?*!!!!

So many things had happened during my absents. We've been having meetings nearly every week *sorry for those guys who were involved in as many activities as I did for the past month!!* Finally, and this is the second time I am using this word, we will be having a break from meetings this weekend *yay....hands up in the air*.

Let me recall what had happened?!
(1) 20091008
I got the A/H1N1/2009 strain aka swine flu vaccine shot!!!!! So, for those who felt intimidated for the past few months worried that I might pass the flu to you *ahem clarification: it's because I am called piggy not because I seriously have the flu*, you can now come in safe distance with no worries!! Well, the shot is not as painful as the seasonal flu shot, but the area can still be stingy if you place some pressure on it! Oh, and my shot is FREE as all health sector workers *especially in my lab* are required have have the shot due to immediate and long exposure to the virus ^.^ *well I already had a good long exposure before the vaccine even came up>.<*

(2) Oz Asia Event This is an event organized by the Multicultural of South Australian government. Comparing 2009 to the previous years, the event had grown so much ever since it first started in 2007. This year, the youth group was requested to carry 3 large lanterns while the children's group will parade behind each of the lanterns. There were also stall that sells different food including vegetarian, vietnamese, thai......etc. If you are in Adelaide, it is a kind of event that should not be missed. Try going next year, I'm sure you will enjoy it!

(3) Ru-Shi 4th Youth Camp After half a year of planning, the youth camp can be classified as a successful camp! Great thanks to all the committee members who worked hard for the camp and great effort for the participants*and am I safe to say that you won't regret coming to the camp?...I hope so* 5D4N for the committees and 4D3N for the campers went by like wind. There were some unexpected jokes arised ie: banging into water tanks and the chair position during experience night.....for those who attended the camp, you should know what I am rambling about here..hahahaha!!!!!!! Another wonderful memories to be stored in the brain!!!

(4) Change of jobs Well, some of you would have known that the lab I always work in PC3 (personal containment level 3 was closed down for fumigation, thus, I had to work in the infectious diseases diagnostic lab for 3 weeks. To say the truth, I wasn't happy at all not because of the work nor the work load/pressure. It is because of the relationship with colleagues. I never had any problems with colleagues ever since I started working not till I started with this new position. It's not the 1st time I changed my working positions, as I can call myself a professional part-time contractor *hehehehehe*. I work because I need to and also for the sake of patients who were suspected with swine flu. But, I have no life there. I know that it's a routine job, but having good colleagues adds more fun to it. Further, I was not properlly trained, which makes things difficult >.<>

Well, enough of the sad part. I still did learn something worthwhile during my 3/4 of a month in that position. I learnt how to operate many machines (note that diagnostics means you have hundreds of samples, without machine, you can die...I am not exagerating....you can DIE!!!* The essence of the whole process which last about 6 hours total per run is real-time PCR (polumerase chain reaction) --google if you don't know what it means! During the 6 hours, you 1st snap or aliquot patient samples be it poop or boogie or aspirates (internal boogies) into viral transport medium, so that the virus won't die!! Then, you will break the virus with chemical and extract the RNA (flu DNA) of the virus and then mix them with more chemicals to prep them for PCR. Then, walllah.....the results of whether you are positive for Flu A/B/swine, or parainfluenza or RSV will be noted in graph form in the machine comp program. You would then analyze and then report it on ULTRA, which is shared program between diagnostician and doctors, where the doctors can view the result!! It's a full load of information and procedures and jargon to remembers and the get it on hand intially, afterawhile, it's fairly routine!!

Hmm....I think it's more than enough of rambling, I may have bored most of you already!!!! Hehehhe....so excited today......RUSHI ORACLE is about to be born...wkakkaka! Thanks for the hard work again!!!

Ah well, I better go.......wrote this because I am done with my lab work today...but I need to come into lab tomorrow morning to finish of some experiments ^.^

#feeling pink today....excited.....excited....probably it's breast cancer awareness campaign coming on soon#

Series of biological havoc

What the hell had been happening to me for the past 3 weeks??!!!

  • 3 bubble blisters
  • 1 deep cardbox cut on my pinky *to make things worst...it's on the tip -_-*
  • Developed allergies towards dressings on my largest blister: Papa blister
  • The allergy seems to spread now
  • Getting more itchy spot on my body (made me bought anti-histamine tablets today-still itchy)
  • Went to a doctor to get my blister checked and was told to do a SKIN GRAFT....WTH...
  • However, I got a secong opinion and the doc told me it's not necessary to get a skin graft at this stage!
  • Got a blocked right ear (happened last night where i try to clear out the water in my ear I must have pushed in the wax and hence, I am currently half deaf!)
  • Urgh...paying medical bills like paying rental
What have I done wrong?!?! What's which all the complications...one leads to another>.< *scratch scratch.....itchy itchy*

I suppose it's best that I resort to sleep now! Need to have a clear mind for experiments tomorrow.....Hope for the best! *anti-histamine...please please reduce my itchyness and redness........please!! Oh god....*

The "skin bubble family"

Sigh....3 bubbles in 3 days. What "bubblish" days, 3 bubbles in 3 days on 2 different occasion. 1st bubble was obtain on monday night. 2nd and 3rd was a "free gift" from cooking cannelloni stuffed with ricotta and spinach -_-

So, in total I have a happy family of 3 bubbles--papa, mama and baby bubble.

Papa Bubble (on left calf): is overly obese and would sometimes loves to ooze out liquid after a hot shower.

Mama Bubble (on right 3rd knuckle): is medium in size.
Baby Bubble (on left 3rs knuckle): is small in size.

PAIN!!!!!!!

It's been such an agonizing day with my left calf. The story starts this morning, when I woke up from my lovely sleep, I felt pain on my left calf. So, I was thinking back what happened the night before and I remembered that Mr.Strawberry Head accidently steped on my leg yesterday night due to accident. Then, I was like "Oh, it must be bruised now.". I then, as per usual lazy around my bed without thinking about it much but the pain's still there and getting stronger and stronger. I think it's because now that I am concious about my sore leg. Finally, I got up and look at my left calf, my reaction was " OH MY GOD...WHAT THE.....". This dramatic expression was used because my sore leg is showing a bubble *swollen skin: wrap with liquid*. In scientific terms, it means that all my CD4 cells, macrophages, lymphocytes, WBC, palletes......all kinds of things that arrises from TCL responses was there and caused odema. FREAKING painful :'(.

For the whole of the day, I was tricking my mind to think "it's not painful, it's not painful, it's not painful" but sometimes the mind decides to act on it's on accord to thinkg "it's so darn painful". Sigh.....! I just hope that by placing ice packs around my sore area tonight will reduce the soreness. Any one knows any cure? I searched on google and it says "there's not cure for odema.... -__-".

Ah well.....just have to be extra cautious from now onwards to not hurt it further! I will add a picture later which is in Miss. Nanas's camera...it's so BIG!!

Hard Earned Acknowledgement

As mentioned in the previous post, today's my last day of work in the Familial Cancer Department. After a whole day of eye-tearing DNA sequence analysis, I was called in to talk to my supervisor. I was damn scared when I heard she wanted to talk to me in person--alone!! *how can you not freak out not knowing that what's gonna be told.....shurgs*

Anyway, she told me that she was very pleased with my performance for the past month and I've kept up with her expectations. At that moment, I was like "thank god..or buddha" *my fingers were intertwined with each other keeping themselves busy----I too noticed that my supervisor saw that I was heaps scared >.<*. She then told me that if I need a future reference, she's happy to be on my good books......YIPEE......after all the effort and hard work I've put into my job *reading DNA till I cry....pipette stuffs till my fingers sore and sometimes tore gloves*, I earned her acknowledgement. Not that I have been waiting for her acknowledgement, it's actually a bonus...BIG BONUS...better than extra money!!! I can create a prettier resume now ^.^v

After talking to her, I seriously can say that....we should always always give in our best, work your arses out.. and you will succeed in whatever you do. That's what our parents and teachers USED to teach us...but this is the 1st time I felt it working in a society!

Just getting out of the topic, POH and ANDRE *2 SA fellas* are competing in MasrterChef. But, why why why is Sam still in there? I don't understand....grrrr..! What a "lucky" guy@.@

Okay...gotta go! Time to rest and work with flu samples tomorrow. I hope there won't be more than 90 cause it takes a very long time to prep. *sitting in the PC3 lab -isolation- for 3 hours is not fun.....but don't get me wrong, I love my job v^.^v
"Without thinking, Douglas opens Pandemic's box."
Note: I won't be as careless as him.....I wear a mask and I double glove myself.....most importantly I have sufficient sleep...kekeke *wink*

Back to "square one"

How should I start this blog.

Let me justify my title then. I started blogging back in the High School years. However, I've never been able to keep it up *unlike some of my friends-----embarrassed*. I started off with blogspot, then with msnlive and now BACK to blogger. For some unknown reason, these days I have heaps of things to pile onto the blog and I seriously don't feel like doing it on msn.live, so I AM BACK Blogspot.

I don't think I should blabber things that have passed. However, tomorrow is the last day I am working in the Familial Cancer Department. I will definately missed my colleagues, they have been really nice to me. They helped me in many ways to get used working in the new environment. These people are highly organized. I learnt heaps of things from them in terms of lab techniques as well as mental training to work as a team!

I WILL BE BACK GUYS..........*will apply for Cassie's position for a year when she's off maternity leave....fingers crossed hard and waiting for the application to come online!!*

I think I shall start writing "Thank You" cards tonight!

Signing off now! -wrote this blog in the mist of reading DNA sequences..^.^- (that's what it looks like......eyes tearing)
